September 16th is just a few short weeks away… and we can hardly wait!!! We tracked down our most loyal junkers and got the best shopping tips to make the most out of your shopping weekend.
#1-Plan, plan, plan! “Before going to the market I make a list of everything I am looking for and make sure to write down the measurements of all the spaces I’m trying to fill in my home. This makes for a quick decision when i find that perfect piece I can’t live without.”- Michelle
#2- Dress comfortably “When I attend the market, I enjoy taking my time and making it to every booth to make sure I don’t miss anything. Which means I am there for most of the day! I wear my tennis shoes and comfortable clothes so I’m not fussing with my outfit and I don’t miss out on any of the great JUNK! I always bring sunscreen and a hat since the market is now expanded outside as well. I also take advantage of the food trucks there so I don’t have to leave and come back.” – Stephanie
#3- Bring a Friend- or two! “I am not great at making decisions, so I always go with a group of friends who are honest and help me decide what is a MUST HAVE. I never have regrets for not buying that perfect piece!” – Kristen
#4- Enjoy the Day! “This event is always a favorite time for me and my daughter to spend quality time together! We love finding fun pieces and helping each other decorate our homes. Last market we were planing my daughter’s wedding and found so many wonderful items to decorate her wedding with, and even hired one of the singers to play at her wedding!” -Sue
#5- Follow the market on Social Media “I always find it helpful to follow their hashtag {#Partylikeajunker #Junkinthetrunkvintagemarket} before the market to spot the vendors I want to run to first. And then I use the hashtag to post my pictures of us in front of their displays. They are always amazing and inspiring! – Hannah
